Resolution

I never really make new years resolutions, mostly because I think smaller, more expandable
goals work better for me. Don’t get me wrong, I have dreams and aspirations for my interests
and what I want to achieve — but it’s an overwhelming amount. So, instead of trying to do it
all, and getting down on myself for not achieving 100% of my goals, I realized I can’t do
everything at once but I can achieve smaller goals that will accumulate to my larger aspirations.
Last year, I threw a bunch of things at the wall (not literally) that I was interested in pursuing for

I then narrowed that down to three: Modeling, Acting, and Nutrition (broad categories, I
know, so stick with me). I broke these down into mini-goals, as there is a lot I want to achieve
in each of them.

Modeling: I wanted to grow a family of continual clients in the US while continuing to expand
my reach as a model, both domestically and internationally.
Acting: I wanted to go to regular classes and really discover what acting means to me and how
to grow my craft.

Nutrition: I do a lot in the space of nutrition and fitness as a model, but I wanted to learn and
become certified. I found a program, Precision Nutrition, and followed it to the end.
Looking back at 2019, I accomplished the three goals I set out to complete. I am now working
consistently as a model, discovering myself more as an actor (goal for 2020 is to find new
representation and be cast in some fulfilling roles), and begin helping clients as a certified
nutritionist.

I am writing this because I wanted to remind myself why 2019 was so successful — how I went
about finding what worked for me and what did not, and then expanding on it for 2020.
I don’t know about you, but starting in 2020 was very frustrating. I should have felt the glow of
a very successful 2019, but I didn’t. After reading this back, I am realizing how much of a
difference it makes to actually know what I am striving for, and how having reachable/
expandable goals in place is so important.

And I am starting to do that right now…

Until next time.
